Michelle Diemel (Medical Assistant for Premier Heart Care) is Premier Heart Care’s Medical Assistant Extraordinaire boasting 25 years of cardiac experience. Michelle graduated high school with her CNA in hand and hit the ground running working the ICU-CCU floor at St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, and continuing on to Valley Children’s Cardiac Care and Kaiser Cardiology Center. She is trained in Nuclear Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, and Patient Education and holds certification in Basic Life Support and Pacemaker Interrogation. Above all, she loves to educate her patients on their symptoms and diagnosis; and watch them as they start on the road to recovery.



John Carillo (Medical Assistant for Premier Vein Care) has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University. He completed his internship at the Santa Cruz Dominican Hostital's Rehabilitation Center where he helped clients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease in addition to developing many great relationships with the elderly community. John worked for Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists in Mountain View as a Medical Assistant for 3½ years. He is experienced in holter monitor placements, EKGs, treadmill stress tests, prothrombin testing, Coumadin education, ICGs, pulse volume recording tests, and ankle brachial index tests. He is truly committed to helping all in need and providing excellent customer service. He is an avid basketball player and can be seen playing locally at the Church of Nazarene, SLO High School, and Cal Poly.



Thanisha Totemwongse (Ultrasound Technician) Thanisha received her education at Grossmont College's cardiovascular program in San Diego. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA and she currently has 3 degrees, an Associate in Arts, an Associate in Science, and her degree in Cardiovacular Technology. At Premier Heart Care she performs the Echocardiograms, Stress Echos, and assists in the screening for Premier Vein Care. She has over 5 years experience in cardiology. The aspect about being an echo tech that Thanisha loves is being able to explain to the patients about the anatomy of the heart and being able to show them what their heart looks like. She also enjoys the one on one time she can spend giving care.



Melissa Lintner (Patient Services Representative) is our patient services representative. She began her career at San Luis Obispo General Hospital as a health unit clerk on the medical/surgical unit in 1996. After trying her skill on various units within the hospital setting, including labour & delivery in the emergency department she took some time off to have a family and enjoy being a full time mother. Melissa or "Missy", is greatful to be back in the workforce in the great community of SLO. She feels Premier Heart Care and Premier Vein Care is offeing her a great new learning experience and allowing her to utilize her communication skills in many ways. Health care has allways had a special place in Melissa's heart, she enjoys assisting our patients and trying to make your day a little easier.
