Dr. Ken Stevens, MD is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, phlebology and internal medicine. He holds a B.A. degree from Colgate University, M.S. degrees from Georgetown University and University of Wisconsin–Madison, and a Medical Degree from Loyola University. After completing his internship and residency at the Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami, a cardiology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at University Hospital/SUNY Stony Brook, Dr. Stevens ultimately settled down in Rockford, Illinois for 15 years.
In Rockford, Dr. Stevens wore many hats, serving as Managing Physician for Rockford Cardiology Associates, Chairman of the OSF/St Anthony Regional Heart Institute and Department of Medicine, and Medical Director of the Chest Pain Center at different times. He is also proud to have worked as a Team Physician for the US Olympic Team and US Maccabiah Team.
Dr. Stevens eventually relocated to San Luis Obispo, California, where he opened Premier Heart Care. At Premier Heart Care, Dr. Stevens is committed to treating patients with the utmost respect and compassion. Delivering the highest standard of cardiac and vascular care is his top priority, and his practice has built a strong reputation for providing state-of-the-art diagnosis, disease management, and treatment.
Dr. Stevens is a member of the American College of Phlebology and a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. In his free time, Dr. Stevens enjoys cycling and taking in the sights and scenery of the Central Coast.
